The ISFG is preparing a set of online symposia to cover specific forensic genetic topics that have currently shown increasing interest in training and education, according to requests and feedback from previous events.
The ISFG Mini Symposia – IMS – marked its debut in March 2026 with IMS1 on Body Fluid Identification, coordinated by Hwan Young Lee (South Korea; Department of Forensic Medicine, Seoul National University College of Medicine).
Now in June, the second IMS will focus on Communicating Science.
Improving how we talk and write about science, organized by John M. Butler and Julie Burrill, will happen online on June 9, 2026, from 14h to 16h CEST.
All the information is available on the IMS website.
The session is open to anyone interested in the proposed topic, with capacity for up to 500 participants.
ISFG members and students will benefit from reduced registration fees. The fee includes the 2-hour online session, a certificate of participation and access to the session recording during three weeks.
